South Milwaukee Theater Arts

For decades, South Milwaukee High School has been known for its music and performing arts programs. This tradition continues today, and since 2004 our students have had the fortune to rehearse and perform in one of the finest facilities in Wisconsin, the South Milwaukee Performing Arts Center.

Our goal is to provide students with a place to build friendships, hone their confidence and creative skills and work collaboratively with each other to create excellent theater. Students take active roles on stage, backstage, in the pit and in the sound booth to create art that is enjoyed by the entire community.

Our next show: A Murder is Announced by Agatha Christie

Our fall play runs November 8-10 at the South Milwaukee PAC, and is Agatha Christie’s murder mystery classic, A Murder is Announced!

“An announcement in the local paper states the time and place when a murder is to occur in Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house. The victim is not one of the house’s several occupants, but an unexpected and unknown visitor. What follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, a second death, a determined Inspector grimly following the twists and turns, and Miss Marple on hand to provide the final solution at some risk to herself in a dramatic confrontation just before the final curtain.”
